Corrupt Cold Cuts is a parody package design for deli meat. Qualitative research showed mostly negative feelings toward deli meats because of their high levels of sodium nitrate and the possibility for them to get contaminated on the meat slicer with bacteria like listeria. These packages play on the idea of contamination as well as satirizing the expiration dates and guarantees on the front of the boxes. There are germ-like shapes going across the window on the front to make it appear like there are germs directly on the slices of meat. The swirling pattern on the front and back of the packages resembles bacterial growth under a microscope.
